ABOUT TARA PETTY

With over a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I’ve dedicated my career to enhancing mental and emotional well-being. After working extensively in medical social work across diverse healthcare settings, I transitioned into private practice to provide more personalized care.

My expertise lies in navigating life transitions and addressing women’s issues, including prenatal, postnatal, and fertility concerns. I deeply understand the intersection of physical and mental health and its impact on overall well-being.

I offer compassionate support through a person-centered approach, tailoring evidence-based techniques to your unique needs. My priority is to foster a nurturing, trusting environment where we can collaborate on your journey to healing. Together, we’ll focus on building resilience, finding solutions, and uncovering your strengths to help you grow.

I hold a BA in Sociology from Louisiana Tech University, an MSW from Grambling State University, and an MBA from the University of Houston-Victoria, which enrich my ability to guide individuals through challenges like depression, anxiety, chronic illnesses, and grief. My holistic, solution-focused approach blends clinical expertise with an understanding of psycho-social factors, ensuring care that addresses the whole person.

 FAQs

  • We work with adults ages 18 and up and love supporting individuals through every phase of life. Whether you’re just starting your adult journey, navigating the transitions of motherhood, or finding meaning in later years, we’re here to help. We hope to meet you soon!

  • Bee Well Solutions is a fully virtual practice, which means you can access therapy from anywhere in Texas. Whether you’re at home, in your office, or another confidential space of your choice, we’ll meet you where you are—literally!

  • Online therapy offers the same connection and support as in-person sessions but with added convenience. We’ll meet on a secure video platform called SimplePractice—no app downloads needed. Before each session, you’ll receive an email with a secure link to join. All you need is a computer, a quiet space, and a reliable internet connection.

  • Your first session is all about creating a foundation for our work together. We’ll review practice policies, go over counseling agreements and consent forms, and discuss what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your personal and family history to better understand your background. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan tailored to your goals, and I’ll share tools and resources specific to your situation so you leave feeling supported and empowered.

  • Yes, we’re in-network with most major insurance providers and can provide an estimate of costs during your consultation. We also encourage clients to contact their insurance companies directly to learn about their mental health benefits. If you prefer to pay out of pocket, our rates are as follows:

    • Initial full intake session: $150

    • 60-minute psychotherapy sessions: $140

Feel free to schedule an introductory call to explore insurance coverage, payment options, and the best fit for your needs.

  • Life happens, and we understand that plans can change! We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If a session is missed or canceled within 24 hours, the full session fee will apply.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions for about 3-4 months to build momentum and see meaningful progress. From there, many transition to bi-weekly sessions for another 3-4 months, eventually moving to monthly maintenance sessions as needed. However, therapy is a personal journey—some clients stay longer, while others may find they meet their goals more quickly.

  • Therapy doesn’t have a one-size-fits-all timeline. The length of your journey depends on your unique goals, challenges, and the pace you feel comfortable with. Whether you’re seeking short-term support or longer-term growth, we’ll tailor our work together to meet your needs and regularly check in to ensure you’re progressing toward your goals.

We happily welcome a variety of insurance options
